Papish is a musical fusion of Latin / North American roots. Lyrics in English, French and Spanish that explore different rhythms and textures mixing electronic, Latin music, disco, etc.

SYROKO (Algeria) – Algerian Chaabi, Rumba, Cumbia
Syroko draws its primary inspiration from the rich tradition of Algerian Chaabi, a generous musical source that colors the melodic and rhythmic background of the group, and sprinkles the whole with a musical breeze from the South. The group is located at the crossroads of melancholic romances, engaged texts, and burlesque songs.

SYLI D'OR 2022
The Syli d’Or de la musique du monde spotlight the colourful genre of world music. Since its inception in 2007, the highly anticipated festival has seen extraordinary talent emerge as well as developing new trends in the genre.
Audiences are treated to 20 evenings of free performances by over 30 groups from 25 countries. This must-see showcase event is dedicated to world music artists from across Canada and around the globe, awarding talent with prizes earned during a Gala Finale. People’s choice awards are also awarded following the audience's encouragement and evaluation of their favourite groups.
